I'm very excited. I'd be even more excited if I hadn't gotten to this point many, many times in my crazy dieting history, but I'm excited nonetheless.
I am down 3.8 pounds!
Today I will continue on the path to good health, which for me includes weight loss. I can already feel it a little. Maybe it's in my mind but I don't care.
I read in "The Dieter's Prayer Book" this morning about not living in denial. I accept the fact that I ate a lot of junk, ate a lot of sugar and plain old just ate a lot of food. If I want to change how I look and how I feel, I need to change what and how much I put into my body. I'm doing that now. I'm acknowledging and changing. I'm doing it gently, but I'm doing it and that's what counts.
On the subject of food. I love it! I always find it funny when people tell me they forget to eat. I mean, there have been a couple times of year, during holiday prep perhaps, that I've gotten so busy I realize my stomach is grumbling and I feel that need to EAT SOMETHING NOW! For the most part, however, I look forward to my next eating encounter. I'm not sure that is a good thing, but hey, it is what it is.
I am trying my best to include foods that I like and not restricting things that would cause me to feel the need to rebel. Last night I had homemade Bisquick pizza topped with part skim mozzarella. I counted it and after I had two pieces I ate some green beans. I followed that with sugar free cherry pie filling and a dollop of Cool Whip. In the evening I enjoyed air popped popcorn with Kernel Seasons Nacho seasoning. I am not depriving myself. I'm simply steering myself toward lower calorie versions of the foods I love. And for the foods for which there are no good substitute, I'm eating those in controlled amounts.
That is all for now.
